Super Succinct

This mornings conversation in the kitchen.
I had rolled out of bed sniffling and sneezing.
Ty was mid doing dishes. I stand at the kitchen doorway staring miserably at her.

Ty: "Hey"
Me: "Why am I sniffling today. I slept for four days in a row, ate vegetables, drank tons of fluids and took mounds of garlic.
I should be better now. I thought I would avoid the sniffling phase"

Ty looks at me with a blank unimpressed look on her face.
" So you thought you were Super Human."

I stare and blink for a few seconds.
" But I did all the right things."

Smile of amusement.
" You are really upset that you are not superhuman. Aww poor Kim. Not Superhuman."

I look at her mouth parted with a strong look of contempt. Then I turn and leave.

Damn it.
