The Next Step ?

When I came out of the surf into the parking lot a couple of guys said Hi to me.
I looked at them and said " Are you talking to me ?". I mean my board was hurt my common courtesy towards people went out the window. They said " yea, Sorry? ".
I apologized and explained I was worried about my board. They took at look at it.
Confirmed my thoughts. The wound is deep. They said it isn't enough for liquid expoxy alone. ( normally when the fiber glass has been penetrated you can get this liquid repair kit, Place liquid on wound, it cures only in direct sunlight then you sand it down).
They said this would need a foam filler, and sheets of fiberglass to be cured on. Also the removing of the gnash to have a clean surface to adhere to.
One of the guys apparently went to my highschool. I couldn't remeber him but he said we hung out.. alot. Too bad I was trying to forget highschool as it was happening.

He said he would fix for a nominal fee like $40.00 which really only covers the supply costs.
If I take my board to the shaper in town. Who lives in Saanichton and is named the Barracuda. He will probably charge me upwards of $90.00.

What should I do ?
This guy sounded like he knew what he was talking about. If I take to the Pro then if the job cracks he will fix it again for free, I would have insurance. But its a dent that I cant afford right now.

Too make matters worse I want to go Back to TUFF CITY for Spring Break. Need board.
