Just case you were wondering as I was, what one could kill on Vancouver island.
The list is as follows with the number being how many you can kill in one season in one zone. They call this a 'bag limit'.
Mule Deer - Doe 1 Buck 2
Mountain Goat- 1
Black Bear -2 ( and there is a bow only season ! look at that archery in the best place on earth)
Wolf - 3
Cougar- 2
Racoon- 10
Grouse-5
Ptarmigan- 5
California Quail- 5 ( No mountain quail shooting allowed)
Pheasant-2
Raven- 5
Band tailed pigeons - 5
Coots and common snipe -10
Ducks- 8
Geese 5
Snowshoes hare- 10 DAILY
Possum/ skunk- unlimited, No Closed Season
It is official people hate snowshoe hares and skunks.
