My Childhood Home

I cant not believe that Google Maps has my childhood home in the remote foothills of Andalusia.

Its both wonderful and terrifying.

Casa Del Las Rosas was the name of the Villa I grew in it. Translation " House of the roses". There were tile letters on the side of the villa that spelt its name. Navy blue with white letters. Yes we did have alot of Roses and yes my childhood is that picturesque.

My house is the closest to the crook in the corner of the street called La Noria. It is the most blurry and has a large green lawn which is parrallel to the pool but slightly ahead or closer to the bottom of your screen. There is a fountain at the beginning of the lawn that is circular. I know there is a statue on top with a naked cupid-esque boy.

Differences I can notice are:

-The Orchard we had of about 6 lemon and orange trees looks unkempt and dead.
-They covered part of the lawn with tile or ceramic to create a third patio and planted quite a few palm trees.

This image brings back a flood of memories. Running up and down La Noria as a child. Sneaking in to everyones large back yards with my friends as our self proclaimed club dictated we do "La Investigadores". Translation: The Investigators !

How many dips and turns life has and how easy it is to get lost.

  1. The fountain is still there,I never like it, and they built a wall? around the front lawn,a totally weird English idea.I mean limiting the spectacular view from the terrace. And they cut the old huge pine tree at the corner of the terrace.Old Salvador would of have a heart attack, but he is not around any more...I don't like voyages in other life.
