Kimmy! Please recommend me some more Tom Waits songs. I currently have and like: Rain Dogs, Somewhere over the Rainbow, Sinapore, Bottom of the World and... my favourite right now: Clap Hands.
K-BEAR ! You know what is hilarious the guy right above you is like this edgey Dj who plays Tom Wait's records live: Fact.
I Love Alice but I think you do too.
Rain dogs is classic my parents played that to put to me sleep as an infant also Heart attack and Vine. I remember those covers so vividly from my childhood.
I demand Josh recommend us Tom Waits listening pleasures ! I am going to predict he says closing time.
P.S I miss you ! and do a Lolita don't on you blog so I can educate people!
1. Closing Time. Maybe I'm too predictable. Martha is the saddest song ever. Ol' 55, I Hope That I Don't Fall in Love With You, Old Shoes (& Picture Postcards). Nothing better than sitting and listening to this. 2. Small Change. Tom Traubert's Blues, The Piano Has Been Drinking, Pasties and a G-String, Bad Liver and a Broken Heart, Small Change... It's all great. 3. Swordfishtrombones. If this just had Frank's Wild Years and the title track it'd be in the top five. 4. Rain Dogs. I don't need to tell you this. 5. Frank's Wild Years. Hang on St. Christopher & More than Rain are of particular note.
There's this really great story he tells about going to the dump...
ReplyDeleteHa, in all seriousness, Waits is probably the coolest guy ever. You ever see Down By Law? He's pretty great in that.
